Job Description

ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER 

Monday – Friday: 5am starts (Flexibility will be required to work overtime from time to time at busier periods)

£37,500 per annum

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER to join our well-established client based in STOURBRIDGE, WEST MIDLANDS on a full-time permanent basis.

Our client is looking for a hands-on Electrical Project Engineer to support a dual-site operation and drive uptime, safety, and continuous improvement.

Day to Day Duties

  • Maintain, test, and repair manufacturing equipment and control systems
  • Diagnose faults on AC/DC systems and 3-phase power supplies
  • Read and work from ladder logic diagrams and PLCs
  • Support development and scheduling of PPM systems
  • Identify cost-saving and reliability improvement projects
  • Work with H&S teams to maintain safe, compliant working environments
  • Liaise with suppliers and ensure critical spares are in stock
  • Monitor fire alarms, emergency lighting, and overall plant safety systems

Essential Skills

  • Apprentice trained with City & Guilds 17th Edition (or 18th)
  • Confident with electrical control circuits and industrial installations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
  • Excellent communication and flexibility (weekend/overtime availability)

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in heavy engineering or foundry environments 
  • Siemens S7 knowledge, CAM programming, Confined Space/Working at Height
  • FLT, crane, slinging, first aid or fire safety training

Training

  • Industry related training provided and support throughout
