Job Description
ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER
Monday – Friday: 5am starts (Flexibility will be required to work overtime from time to time at busier periods)
£37,500 per annum
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER to join our well-established client based in STOURBRIDGE, WEST MIDLANDS on a full-time permanent basis.

Our client is looking for a hands-on Electrical Project Engineer to support a dual-site operation and drive uptime, safety, and continuous improvement.

Day to Day Duties
- Maintain, test, and repair manufacturing equipment and control systems
- Diagnose faults on AC/DC systems and 3-phase power supplies
- Read and work from ladder logic diagrams and PLCs
- Support development and scheduling of PPM systems
- Identify cost-saving and reliability improvement projects
- Work with H&S teams to maintain safe, compliant working environments
- Liaise with suppliers and ensure critical spares are in stock
- Monitor fire alarms, emergency lighting, and overall plant safety systems
Essential Skills
- Apprentice trained with City & Guilds 17th Edition (or 18th)
- Confident with electrical control circuits and industrial installations
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
- Excellent communication and flexibility (weekend/overtime availability)
Desirable Experience
- Experience in heavy engineering or foundry environments
- Siemens S7 knowledge, CAM programming, Confined Space/Working at Height
- FLT, crane, slinging, first aid or fire safety training
Training
- Industry related training provided and support throughout
