Job Description
Electrical Engineer Manager – Full-Time, Permanent (West Bromwich)
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
£40,000 – £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich on a full-time permanent basis.
This position reports to the Electrical and Instrumentation Manager, and we are looking to recruit for an immediate start.

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Lead and manage all maintenance and planned preventative maintenance activities, including inspections
- Undertake minor project work involving the design, specification, and installation of electrical systems
- Supervise a team of four electrical personnel and manage external contractors
- Act as the Company’s Technical Authority on all electrical matters
- Ensure electrical operations meet safety, health, and environmental regulations and company procedures
- Support and develop a safe working culture within the department
- Liaise with internal departments and external contacts such as suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies (e.g., HSE, EA)
- Manage the training and development of all electrical team members
Essential Skills:
- RQF Level 3 qualification (e.g. Full City & Guilds Level 3) in a practical electrical discipline
- Minimum of five years post-qualification experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- At least two years in a supervisory electrical role
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage complex projects and shifting priorities
- Sound understanding of electrical maintenance and project work in an industrial setting
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge or experience in ATEX (CompEx) area classification, design, installation, inspection, and commissioning (training will be provided if required)
- Experience working with external regulatory bodies such as HSE and the EA
- Budget and cost control experience for maintenance and capital works
Training:
- Full ATEX (CompEx) training provided if not already qualified
- Ongoing technical and compliance training
- Support with leadership and supervisory skills development
