People Solutions are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist (programmer/setter/operator) to join our well-established client based in Dudley on a full-time permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering a competitive salary and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
Shifts: Monday to Thursday: 8am – 4.30pm & Friday: 8am – 3.30pm
Salary: £34,528 – £38,844 per annum (£16.00 - £18.00 per hour), dependent on experience

Day-to-day duties:
- Setting up, programming, and operating CNC Milling machines and Horizontal Borers
- Carrying out milling, boring, and general machining operations
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including machining symbols, tolerances, and geometric tolerances
- Conducting quality checks using precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, slip gauges)
- Working flexibly to support the business and complete additional duties as required
- Ensuring adherence to safety procedures and company standards
Essential skills:
- Experience with medium/large milling and boring operations
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Ability to check your own work using precision measuring equipment
- Experience working in a subcontract or precision machining environment
- Completed apprenticeship in an engineering workshop, CNC Machinist training, or proven practical experience
Desirable experience:
- Heidenhain programming experience preferred
- Fanuc control knowledge beneficial
Training: Industry-related, on-the-job training will be provided to familiarise you with the machines and processes, with ongoing support to develop technical and machining skills.
