People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role would suit applicants who have worked in a similar role such as a Class 1 Driver, HGV Driver, or Category CE Driver.
Shifts:
- Four shifts over seven days
- 12-hour shifts
- PM start times between 17:00 – 18:00
- Rolling 3-week rota
Rates of Pay:
- £18.60 - £39.96 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Class 1 multi-drop deliveries
- Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre and post journey vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly and assisting with loading and unloading when required
- Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
- Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
- Maintaining a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, Food Safety standards, and UK road networks
Essential Skills:
- A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
- A minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
- A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
- A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience driving commercial
Training:
- Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
