About the Role
People Recruit is seeking experienced and committed Support Workers to join our Birmingham team. You will be working in residential and supported living services, providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care and support in line with individual care plans
- Support with daily living, personal care, and promoting independence
- Assist with community access, activities, and appointments
- Implement safeguarding practices and Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- Maintain accurate records and care documentation
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months previous experience as a Support Worker in the UK
- CSTF-aligned Mandatory Training (or willingness to complete with our training partner)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Training
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
- Care Certificate (or willingness to complete)
- Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism (or willingness to complete)
- We cannot accept Skilled Worker Visa holders for this role
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Experience supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge
