Overview
We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media & Digital Content Creator to join our growing WS Media team. WS Media is the central marketing function of the WS Holdco Group, supporting a diverse portfolio of businesses including The APC, William Stobart & Son, WS People Providers, Bis Henderson and WS Digital. We lead and coordinate marketing activity across the Group, ensuring brand consistency, strategic alignment and a unified market presence across all of our businesses.
This is a varied and hands-on role that combines social media content creation with the day-to-day management of our new WS Truck Spotting app and website. You'll be responsible for creating engaging content, managing user-generated content, building online communities and promoting our brands across multiple digital channels. You'll also have the opportunity to travel to sites across the UK, capturing stories, people and projects and bringing our brands to life through engaging digital content.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Social Media
- Capture engaging photo and video content using mobile devices and cameras.
- Edit and produce short-form video and image content for social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
- Work closely with app users, colleagues and customers to bring their stories, achievements and projects to life through engaging digital content.
- Assist with planning and scheduling social media content.
- Monitor current social media trends and identify opportunities to create engaging content.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
- Support wider marketing campaigns with creative digital content.
- App & Website Management
- Manage the day-to-day submissions received through the WS Truck Spotting app and website.
- Review, moderate and approve truck spotting sightings and other user-generated content.
- Liaise with members of the public regarding their submissions and enquiries.
- Upload news stories, images and website content using the content management system (CMS).
- Monitor app and website activity, user engagement and performance.
- Identify engaging user-generated content and stories that can be repurposed across the Group's social media channels.
- Assist with the ongoing promotion and development of the app and website.
- General Marketing Support
- Liaise with photographers, sign-writing companies and other external suppliers.
- Work collaboratively with the wider WS Media team on campaigns and marketing initiatives.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns and provide general administrative support to the wider WS Media team.
- Occasionally attend events, depot visits and company activities to capture content.
Requirements
- Previous experience creating engaging content for social media.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and social media best practice.
- Confident capturing high-quality photo and video content using mobile devices and cameras.
- Experience editing video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, approachable and confident when working with people across all levels of the business.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience using website content management systems (CMS) would be advantageous.
- Up to date with digital marketing and social media trends.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
