People Providers are currently recruiting for Shunter / Shuttle Drivers to join a busy and prestigious client operation based in Magor. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for a stable role within a fast-paced logistics environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of trailers across site and between local facilities.
Pay Rates
- Days: £17.93 per hour
- Nights: £19.05 per hour
Shift Pattern
- 4 On / 4 Off
- Days: 06:00 – 18:00
- Nights: 18:00 – 06:00
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily vehicle and tug checks, reporting any defects promptly.
- Safely shunt and position trailers across the site using a tug unit.
- Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to maintain the smooth flow of trailers and site operations.
- Shuttle trailers between the Brewery and Gwent Park as required.
- Adhere to all site health and safety procedures and operational standards.
- Ensure all movements are completed safely, efficiently, and within operational requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Valid LGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- In-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous shunting experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided for candidates willing to learn.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Proven history of safe and professional driving.
