Responsibilities
- OHS & Compliance: Develop and implement regional OHS policies, procedures, and training programs. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations in line with ISO 45001 and local regulations.
- Facility Maintenance Management: Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Ensure building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety) meet operational and safety standards.
- Vendor & Project Coordination: Coordinate with contractors and vendors for facility repairs, upgrades, and sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency monitoring.
- Training & Emergency Preparedness: Conduct safety training sessions and awareness campaigns. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and organize regular drills.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on safety performance and facility KPIs. Maintain all compliance records for audits and inspections.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive safety culture initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance workplace safety and facility management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years in OHS roles with regional or multi-site responsibility with experience in facility management and maintenance oversight.
- Knowledge of OHS regulations, ISO 45001, and risk management frameworks.
- Familiarity with building systems maintenance (HVAC, electrical, fire safety).
- Proficiency in safety management software and MS Office tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead safety initiatives and influence organizational culture.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certifications will be an added advantage.
- Facility management certifications (e.g., IFMA CFM) are a plus.
