Company Description: My client is a UK market leader selling into the NHS. They design, manufacture and distribute their own products selling them on contract with the NHS Supply Chain at local NHS level. They are known and used in every hospital in the UK and have a good reputation for quality. They are currently looking to bolster their hospital facing team with the recruitment of a North of England Junior Account Manager / Territory Sales Exec. Please note: No previous NHS sales experience is required.
The Position: The North of England Junior Territory Representative will be well organised, professional and capable of building relationships at hospital level. The ideal candidate will have experience of selling fast moving equipment or consumables B2B and any NHS sales experience is a bonus. We are looking for someone based near the M62 or Northern A1 so as to be in the heart of the territory who has a solid sales background selling a physical product and who can demonstrate strong territory management. If you have swapped jobs every year, don’t even apply; we want someone who can demonstrate the ability to stick in a role. The sales cycles are rapid and most days the sales person can expect to generate quotes. The ideal candidate will be able to manage their time and remain focused on balancing and building a robust pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Building solid and long-term relationships with NHS departments including Ward, Project Team and Purchasing.
- Ensure there is widespread networking with key stakeholders/decision makers to promote the brand and products via planned and ad hoc appointments.
- Managing the territory and be able to demonstrate effective time and travel management. Be happy to stay in hotels across the territory.
- Promote and sell the company’s products.
- Build a solid and balanced pipeline of prospects with Short, Medium and Long term projects ensuring this is centrally logged so required company support can be given.
- Work with the National Sales Manager to create a regional plan.
- Follow up quotes/samples and close new business ensuring CRM reflects this.
Qualifications, Experience, Attributes:
- Must have experience in a sales/business development role selling some type of equipment.
- The proven ability to stay in a role for 4+ years.
- Must live on the M62 Corridor or Northern A1.
- IT literate and proficient at CRM use.
- Clean driving licence.
- Happy to learn.
Package:
- Basic Salary upto £42k depending on experience.
- A clear pathway to become a senior sales representative earning £46k pa.
