Job Purpose and Work Duties
I am looking for someone who can provide support and assistance to enable my child to access the community and achieve their full potential. The candidate would ideally collect my child from their home near Dartford and take my child to an arranged activity, as well as spend time sitting with my child at home.
Work Duties will include:
- Supporting my child in activities such as swimming, going to the park/swings, soft play or trampolining.
- Encouraging my child to listen to music.
Other Requirements:
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication with my child and us as parents.
- Maintaining confidentiality.
- Ensuring the safety of my child.
- Experience working with disabled children.
- Assisting with transitioning around the community.
- Helping with feeding and drinking.
- Assisting with dressing/undressing if appropriate.
- Helping with toileting and changing pads.
- Addressing all personal needs.
Requirements for Applicant:
- Imagination in relation to activities to undertake.
- Good sense of humour and positive attitude.
- Flexible, reliable and honest.
- Physically fit, agile and energetic.
- Understanding of autism is essential.
- Full driving license with business insurance within your policy.
- DBS Check will be completed.
Location: Dartford
Number of PA roles available: 12.21 per hour
Term Time: 8 hours per week
Non-Term Time: 14 hours per week
