Personal Assistant to start immediately.

I am a 16 year old male who has ASD, living in Merthyr Tydfil with my mother, grandmother, and one younger sibling. I am a verbal individual who can communicate to a high standard. When I feel sad or not confident to speak about how I feel, I prefer to write down my feelings on a digital device like a phone or laptop. It is important for me to have a structured routine and know what to expect beforehand. Playing music through my own headphones helps me relax. I sometimes get distracted but have a good level of road safety awareness, though I may need reminding. I get on well with adults and can engage in conversations, especially about music and sport.

Likes:

• Listening to music
• Being outdoors to get fresh air and do activities together
• Having my PA drive me to various locations
• Sports, especially football, bowling, darts, and Formula 1
• Having a treat at fast food restaurants like KFC and McDonald's at the end of the session
• Shopping to help with independence and anxiety
• Having conversations about shared interests

Dislikes:

• Doing the same things repeatedly; I prefer variety
• Not being able to listen to music, as it helps me calm down
• Not being able to participate in sports activities, which also help me relax

Tasks and Duties:

• Accessing the local community and surrounding areas
• Ensuring my safety
• Promoting my independence
• Encouraging a happy and positive atmosphere when out in the community

Working Hours / Rate of Pay: £14.50 PH with mileage up to 10 miles per week at £0.40 ppm, 4 hours a week.
