About Myself:
I am a 16-year-old boy who resides in the Merthyr area with my mother and two younger sisters. I am looking for 2 personal assistants to help me access the local community. I have a life-limiting neurodegenerative disease, Ataxia-telangiectasia (AT). This includes difficulty in walking and poor balance; I need support with transitions and am unable to walk without support, usually using my wheelchair. I can communicate verbally; however, my speech can become slurred, and I have access to a communication device to support me when needed. I attend Greenfield Specialist School and have a good group of friends. I enjoy watching my favourite football team, Liverpool, playing on my Xbox, and love music, particularly rap music and Ed Sheeran. I have a good sense of humour and want to access social activities. I will need two PAs to ensure my safety with transitions and transfers from my wheelchair.
