FEMALE Personal Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Location: Saughall Massie

Hours: 20–30 hours per week on a rota basis (shift pattern to be discussed)

Pay: £13.90 per hour

Contract: Fixed-term (Maternity Cover)

• We’re looking for a reliable and friendly Personal Assistant to join our small team on a maternity cover basis. This role is about providing day-to-day support in a home environment, helping things run smoothly and ensuring support is provided consistently and reliably.
• You’ll be working closely with us, so being approachable, respectful, and easy to get along with matters just as much as experience. It’s not a rushed environment, but it does need someone who is organised, calm, and willing to take responsibility.
• Because this is a small support team, reliability and good communication are particularly important.
• This is a temporary role for up to 12 months, expected to start around August 2026. The contract will end when the current post holder returns from maternity leave, with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice provided.
• There may be an opportunity for bank (as and when required) hours after the maternity cover ends, but this is not guaranteed.

• Providing personal care and practical daily support
• Supporting with routines, appointments, and day-to-day organisation
• Assisting with outings and activities where required
• Light household tasks to help keep things running smoothly
• Working as part of a small, consistent team

What we’re looking for

• Someone reliable, dependable, and able to take responsibility for their role
• A calm and patient approach to day-to-day situations
• Clear and straightforward communication
• Willingness to learn and follow routines properly
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Understanding, patience, and a respectful approach when supporting long-term health conditions and mental health needs
• Comfortable working in a home with cats (we have four)
• Some flexibility around shifts and occasional outings is helpful
• Previous care experience is helpful but not essential. What matters most is attitude, reliability, and being willing to learn how things are done properly.
• Training will be provided, and we aim to offer a supportive environment where expectations are clear and where you can settle into the role confidently.

A DBS check is required for this role.
