Overview
PA Position: I am looking for a kind, fun and strong willed PA to work with my 12 year old son who has ASD and ADHD. To take him out to social activities of his interests and to give firm/direct instructions. This will support his social communication and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Take him out to social activities aligned with his interests, including outdoor activities, beach walks, metal detecting, theme parks, and Lego.
- Provide clear prompts and direct instructions to support his independence, safety, and social development.
- Promote appropriate behaviour and assist with anxiety-related withdrawal by offering reassurance and proactive engagement.
- Maintain vigilance as he has limited danger awareness and ensure he remains safe during activities.
- Assist with day-to-day routines, including prompting for toileting as needed.
- Work with the family to plan suitable activities and outings; there may be occasions when you will be going out with the family.
Requirements
- Full clean driving licence and access to your own car with appropriate insurance.
- A suitable role with a potential to share hours with another PA if needed.
- Commitment to eight hours per week at £15 per hour.
- Four weeks paid holiday entitlement plus bank holidays and access to a pension scheme.
- Full enhanced DBS check required (provided).
