PA Position
I am looking for a kind, fun and strong willed PA to work with my 12 year old son who has ASD and ADHD.
- To take him out to social activities of his interests and to give firm/direct instructions. This will support his social communication and personal development.
- He has many interests including but not limited to beach walks, metal detecting, and theme parks and is also fanatic about Lego. He can show some non‑verbal cues with anxiety, which can lead to him retracting from the situation.
- He has no danger awareness, so someone who is vigilant would be ideal. He will need someone with a strong personality, who can prompt and direct him in the right way to prevent him controlling situations. I give specific instructions and prompts when speaking with him, to prevent this, but this is something I would work you with on. He is able to toilet himself but would need prompts throughout the day.
- He is very active and loves being outdoors, enjoying the things he loves.
- A full clean driving licence and access to own car is required for this role and appropriate insurance. There may be occasions when you will be going out with the family.
- We are ideally looking for one PA with another PA as a backup, however, we are very flexible and if you are successful and cant do all the hours or days required then we will look at sharing the hours with another PA.
The post is for eight hours per week. At an hourly rate of £15, with four weeks paid holiday entitlement plus bank holidays and access to a pension scheme.
A full enhanced DBS is required for this role (provided).
