Overview
PERSONAL ASSISTANT MERTHYR TYDFIL
I am looking for 2 personal support assistants, 6 hours a week each. I am an 8 year old boy who likes being outdoors and exploring. I have ADHD and learning difficulties, but I am happy and confident with lots of energy. I love music and arts and crafts when at home, and outside I enjoy open spaces and running around. I would like someone to help me.
Responsibilities
- Access the local community and surrounding areas.
- Always ensure my safety and promote my independence.
- Encourage a happy and positive atmosphere.
- Provide reassurance when I have become unsettled; I can become overwhelmed, especially during unsettled times, so I need routines and boundaries.
Working Hours/Rate of Pay
£13.50 per hour plus mileage allowance of £0.40 per mile. 6 hours per week per assistant. Two workers can be scheduled flexibly.

- Someone who is kind, patient and will respect my needs.
- Someone with prior experience of working with children with additional needs and behavioural challenges.
- Full UK Driving licence (desirable).
- Reliability is essential.
- Someone who is understanding and trustworthy.

Training
Training is available from my parents.
Additional Information
Successful applicants will be subject to a three-month trial period. A DBS check will be required and will be at no cost to the applicant. Please note that this advert has been placed on behalf of one of the Service Users. Should your application be successful, you will be directly employed by the customer and not Peoples Plus.
