Overview
Job purpose: To assist me, a friendly 80 year old lady, with the day-to-day activities enabling me to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets my chosen lifestyle. I live in my own home in BS34 and I am looking for a kind PA to help me with my routines and to support me to access and attend social activities in and around the BS34 and general Bristol area. My personal interests are making friends, reading, music, animals and walks.
Hours and rate
Hours: 4.5 hours per week
Hours based on: Wednesday 12pm – 2.30pm; Friday 9am – 11.30am
Rate: £12.40 per hour
Job purpose (continued)
To assist with day-to-day activities and support social participation in the local area, while maintaining independence and dignity in a home setting.
Work duties
Helping with:
- Cooking and cleaning
- Food preparation and shopping
- Washing and ironing
- Pairing outfits for the employer to wear
- Checking expiry dates on food
- Organising and accompanying to appointments
Supporting:
- Accessing social activities
- Accessing shops for personal items
- Socialising and getting out for a coffee
- Getting out and about in the community
- Mobility and ensuring safety
Other requirements
- Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
- Assisting with management of employers health risks
- Establish and maintain effective communication
- Maintaining confidentiality
