An experienced support worker who is reliable, punctual, and flexible is required to support an adult male based in Southwark SE15 area. The ideal candidate would live locally within about a 5 mile radius.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with adults in their own homes and possess a calm, kind and caring disposition. The candidate should be trustworthy, very compassionate and respectful. They will need to have a professional work ethic with the highest regard to confidentiality and discretion. They will need to be able to follow precise instructions.
The candidate will need to follow the instructions and support with daily tasks, local outings and appointments. The client has agoraphobia, PTSD and social anxiety, so a calming presence is needed. A good level of English is required.
Experience in support roles or mental health awareness is desirable as well as a recent enhanced DBS and checkable references. Must also be comfortable around cats.
Hours: 4 hours per week needs to be flexible. Rate: £13.85 gross per hour (paid on a 4 weekly basis). This may increase with experience. Proof of entitlement to work in the UK will be required at interview.
