This is an exciting opportunity to join this well-established fashion supplier of Men's and Childrenswear. With a reputation for delivering quality design, service and products, from concept to fulfilment, the business has won prestigious growth and gained them preferred supplier status to a number of top High Street stores and Brands. We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant designer or Design Graduate with an internship / Industry experience to join the team.
Junior Designer – The Role
- Continuous trend research and high street analysis.
- Create trend boards/ books and shop reports.
- Translate design briefs into commercial ranges.
- Seasonal sourcing of fabrics and trims.
- Producing design spec packs for sampling.
- Liaising with Far East factories.
- Liaison with Buyers, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Presenting to Buyers as part of a team.
Junior Designer – The Person
- Internship / experience within Industry / design preferable.
- Strong interest in commercial Menswear/Boyswear.
- A good eye for embellishments, graphics and print.
- Confident user of Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Able to produce accurate and detailed specs / tech packs.
- Experience of Graphic design would be of benefit.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and a good team spirit.
- Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
