As Product Developer you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end development process of workwear apparel. You’ll play a key role in translating design concepts into high-quality, commercially viable garments that meet brand standards, cost targets and critical timelines. Working within the PD Team, you’ll have access to onsite sampling and production facilities, as well as the opportunity to work closely with the offshore factory. We’re looking for a collaborative team player with ability to work cross-functionally, with a passion for pushing innovation and continuous improvement. Product Developer (Workwear) - Responsibilities * Create and translate design concepts into detailed workwear technical specifications using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop. * Develop prototypes and samples, ensuring fit, functionality, and compliance with brand standards. * Conduct garment fittings and provide technical feedback to suppliers and factories. * Identify and source fabrics, trims, and components suitable for workwear requirements. * Manage lab-dips, trim developments, fabrics and monitor product quality throughout development stages. * Ensure materials meet durability, safety, and performance standards * Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure accurate interpretation of product requirements. * Ensure product compliance with relevant regulations and certifications (e.g. PPE standards for workwear). * Manage critical path timelines from concept to bulk production. * Maintain accurate documentation and product data Product Developer (Workwear) – Person Skills & Qualifications * A degree in Apparel Design, Textile/Garment Technology or a related discipline. * 3–5 years’ experience in product development, ideally within fashion, workwear or a related apparel environment. * Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting and technical specifications. * Experience with marker making and basic pattern knowledge using Lectra would be desirable. * Knowledge of performance fabrics and relevant safety standards would be advantageous. * Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. * Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and experience with CAD systems. * The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while working to tight deadlines. * Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * A commercially aware and cost-conscious approach to product development. * A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships across design, sourcing, suppliers and production
