Newly created opportunity recruiting for a Senior Product Developer who is passionate about product innovation with experience in apparel, intimates or sportswear and who has a meticulous eye for detail! As Senior Product Developer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Designers in bringing the collections to life, overseeing the end-to-end product development process. This includes managing timelines, ensuring high standards are maintained, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver products that exceed expectations. We’re looking for someone who shares a commitment to creating products that make women feel supported and empowered every day. The job is based onsite and offers a benefits package.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Designers: to follow the product development process from their first sketch through to SMS and final handover to the technical team, ensuring design intent is realised.
  • Fabric & Trim Sourcing: leverage your industry knowledge to source and develop fabrics, trims, and components that align with the design’s vision, maintaining the fit, feel, and quality of the brand. Address any cost and minimum order quantity (MOQ) challenges that may impact margin or production levels.
  • Supplier Management & Negotiation: build strong relationships with suppliers, communicating clearly and negotiating where necessary to meet price points, without compromising on quality or design integrity.
  • Project & Timeline Management: monitor and prioritise workload to the Design Calendar and Critical Path. Ensure sampling for design meetings, key market presentations, and SMS meet quality expectations and delivered on time.
  • Sustainability Focus: be a key part of the journey towards greater sustainability, actively sourcing sustainable materials and practices wherever possible.
  • Technical Documentation: create detailed technical drawings, BOMs, and development packs, ensuring all technical specs and costings meet targets.
  • Colour Standards & BOM Creation: complete and set colour standard paperwork for all products. Create detailed bills of materials (BOM) and relevant costing information for factories.
  • Sampling and Development: collaborate with design to ensure design samples are made and ready for all design reviews and range sign off meetings. Organising lab dips where needed and arranging dye bags with the colour technician.
  • Fit & Performance Integrity: partner with the technical throughout the fit process to ensure original design vision is upheld while considering brand standards for fit, performance, and integrity. Highlight any necessary changes to the wider team.
  • Risk Assessment & Problem Resolution: work with garment & fabric technicians to risk-assess each style, ensuring suitability for production. Proactively identify and manage potential issues and help resolve any challenges that arise during the production process.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: maintain regular communication with internal departments to ensure alignment to internal critical path and business needs are met efficiently.
Candidate Skills & Requirements:
  • Degree educated in fashion or fashion contour.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to manage a small team and delegate tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent multitasking and workload prioritisation to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and deadline driven.
  • Ability to travel in line with business needs.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Illustrator, and experience with PLM software.
