Due to retirement we are recruiting for an experienced QA Manager for structured lingerie and swimwear. We would love to hear from applicants with experience from within manufacturing, sample room or similar quality assurance position. This role would be ideal for someone who is/has returned from working offshore, and is looking to use their expertise in a rare opportunity in the UK. Only applicants with full Right To Work in the UK in place can be considered.
Knowledge of bras, lingerie or structured swimwear is essential.
Quality Assurance Manager – The Job Outline- To manage the technical assistants and sewing floor team.
- To manage the quality standards from the grading process through to final preparation for the factories production: including the sample making and critical path adherence.
- Liaise and support with offshore factories for production queries and issues.
- Oversee the pre-shipment sample approval process with factories.
- To lead meetings, action commercial decisions and to support/mentor/develop team and present work to others.
- Proven experience in lingerie and/or structured swimwear garment engineering, make up methods and labour breakdowns is essential.
- Experience working with offshore factories to assist with production challenges that may arise.
- Proficient in MS Office including EXCEL and ideally experience of PLM.
- Proven history of effectively guiding and developing teams to maintain/improve and to achieve KPI’s.
- Experience of project management.
- A ‘can do’, self-driven work ethic, who likes to share knowledge, welcomes change and will drive for improvement.
- Ability to travel offshore will be required.
