A small, friendly fashion business is looking for a Production Merchandiser to join their team in their Manchester offices. Working across Babywear and Nightwear, you will be the middleman between the customer and the factory to ensure that goods are delivered on time and within price.
This role is Hybrid-3 days office based.
Production Merchandiser - The Role- Oversee the production process from order to manufacture and delivery of our products.
- Management of key customer accounts, ensuring all orders are fulfilled to the right spec and within the agreed timeframes.
- Extensive knowledge of fabrications, print techniques and production process.
- Critical path management ensuring deadlines are met / customer portals are updated.
- Arrange and manage Weekly critical path meetings with Factories.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships.
- Work cross functionally with internal teams communicating relevant information.
- Attend internal handover meetings with production, design, and sales teams.
- Review contracts to ensure VCP’s quantity price is correct and is agreed with the sales team.
- Liaise and gain confirmation from the factories to ensure they can meet the customer order requirements.
- Working alongside technical in regards packaging information so that factories can order the correct packaging on time from nominated suppliers or to source locally.
- Ensure fabric qualities/ strike offs / lab dips / bulk fabric / bulk trims are all submitted and approved within the critical path timeline.
- Working with the production team to ensure sampling, sealing procedures and testing requirements are met according to the critical path.
- Authorise factories to ship goods and update systems once gold seal and AQL is approved.
- Request packing lists, factory invoices ensuring that all relevant documentation is received and is correct to customer contract.
- Ensure that the system is kept up to date to ensure that reporting is accurate for the group.
- Accountable for the management of the merchandise team where you are responsible for the coaching, training and development of merchandisers and junior merchandisers.
