The Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Warehouse Manager to lead operations at their site in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. This is a key role within the business, responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, managing staff, and ensuring efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods. The successful candidate will bring a hands-on approach, strong organisational skills, and the ability to drive operational efficiency within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all day-to-day warehouse operations
  • Managing, supervising, and motivating warehouse staff
  • Ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
  • Implementing and maintaining effective stock control processes
  • Conducting regular stock takes and ensuring inventory accuracy
  • Optimising warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency
  • Ensuring garments are handled and stored to a high standard
  • Maintaining health & safety standards and compliance at all times
  • Liaising with internal teams regarding stock levels, orders, and deliveries
  • Monitoring performance and identifying areas for improvement

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager or senior warehouse role
  • Experience within clothing, textiles, or retail environments is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Good IT skills, including experience with stock management systems
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations within a warehouse setting
  • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
  • Right to work in the UK
