As Merchandiser, you’ll play a key role in planning, trading and shaping future ranges across a multi-channel retail business. You’ll help to ensure sales and margin budgets while effectively managing stock levels in line with business targets. The Job Outline
- Raise PO’s in timely manner for both Seasonal and Never Out of Stock lines.
- Accurate forward-forecasting of intake and OTB to deliver sales & margin targets, highlighting any potential risk or opportunities.
- Ensure timely production planning to secure capacity and achieve on-time deliveries.
- In-season trading: analysing performance, highlighting best/worst sellers & proposing action.
- Maintain WSSI, stock integrity, critical paths and internal documentation.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensuring goods arrive on time and in full.
- Oversee branch distribution planning with the Retail team.
- Check and process supplier invoices & packing lists.
- Support senior management with process improvement initiatives.
- Monitoring competitor activity to influence strategy and decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Junior Merchandiser/ or Merchandiser in a retail branded business.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Strong intermediate IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail, numeracy and the ability to work using your own initiative.
- Decisive, influential and able to build strong relationships at all levels, internal & external.
- Team player with a flexible, positive approach.
- Ability to travel if required.
