We are recruiting for an experienced Demand Planner to join an apparel brand in Nottingham. You will be accountable for sales planning, ensuring the availability of goods, taking into account the defined stock levels, ranges of coverage, surplus goods and marketing activities.

The opportunity offers 1-2 WFH days once probationary period has been completed.

Demand Planner – The Job Outline
  • Responsibility for sales planning for the brand across international markets
  • Overall responsibility for procurement quantities based on the specifications of product management and general management
  • Monitoring and updating the sales and procurement plan (planned quantities)
  • Processing the ordering system (monitoring delivery dates, maintaining delivery date lists, controlling deliveries to the warehouse)
  • Recognising sales fluctuations for basics, deriving scheduling decisions
  • Preparing various statistics for sales and planning
  • Monitoring, communicating and controlling over- and under-deliveries
  • Coordinating various campaigns with sales (packaging, POS & sales campaigns)
  • Creation of a seasonal costing sheet and price lists for international markets
  • Managing freight, duty and transport costs
  • Liaising with internal Teams in Nottingham & Head Office in Europe and factories in China.
Demand Planner – Required Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience within a similar demand planning, supply chain or forecasting role.
  • Experience within fashion, apparel or textiles would be desirable.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures, experience of managing freight and logistics.
  • Highly analytical - able to analyse data and construct reports using EXCEL
  • Organised and disciplined approach, and also flexible to change
  • Proactive, with the ability to foresee problems and find solutions to mitigate business risk
  • Confident communicator (spoken and written)
  • Fluent in English. Additional languages ie. German or Chinese.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office software: Excel advanced. Preferred experience with Microsoft Navision/Power Bi
