We have a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking global network as Business Development Manager - Textiles Programme. You’ll be at the forefront, driving Extended Producer Responsibility solutions specifically for apparel and finished garment brands. This is an opportunity to leverage your fashion-industry expertise and network to lead a transformative mission: help brands comply with evolving textile EPR regulations, meet reuse and recycling targets, and embed circularity into their business models.

With the anticipated introduction of textile EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) legislation in the UK as well as across Europe, this role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of a transformative program - helping to design and implement international solutions for managing textile producer obligations and driving industry change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development Strategy - Develop and execute business development strategy for textile EPR services in the UK, leveraging and aligning with the Group’s global expertise and developing textile program.
  • Industry Representation - Represent the Company / Group at industry events, conferences, working and lobbying groups, to drive awareness and position the company as a leader in EPR for textiles. Monitoring legislation and public affairs, with potential involvement in the legislative process.
  • Stakeholder Management - Identify, engage and build strong relationships with fashion brands, retailers, garment manufacturers, importers, and trade associations to promote EPR compliance and circular textile solutions.
  • Account Management - Managing and building a strategic customer portfolio, including analysis of key brands' strategies and sustainability commitments in the UK. Ensure exceptional account management. Build long-term client relationships and collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless, high-quality solutions.
  • Sales Cycle Ownership - Own the entire sales cycle - from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closure.
  • Strategic growth - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
Essential Competencies:
  • Proven track record in business development within the fashion, apparel, or textile industry.
  • Strong network of contacts across fashion brands, garment manufacturers, retailers, and trade associations.
  • Deep understanding of the textiles supply chain and global sustainability challenges.
  • Outstanding communication, strong presentation, and closing skills.
  • Experience in managing full sales cycle.
  • Proficiency in CRM and reporting tools (e.g. Salesforce, MS Dynamics CRM).
Essential Attitudes:
  • Think Customer - Proactive communication and solution oriented.
  • Show and Earn Respect - Good relationship builder.
  • Own it and Deliver - Organised, methodical and self-motivated.
  • Pull Together - Team player.
  • Grow - Develop our business and their own skills and abilities.
Desirable:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Business, or related discipline; sustainability or textile certifications are a plus.
  • Understanding of Extended Producer Responsibility Legislation (EPR).
  • An interest in sustainability and the circular economy.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away from home.

Location: UK offices in Chiswick (London) / Nuneaton (Midlands) / Home office based. An Agile Working policy anticipates a combination of office-based and home-based working. Position requires some travel.
