Are you an Accessories Designer who has been designing across a wide range of Men’s Accessories? The client is a well-established menswear brand. You will be working on a wide range of accessories for men within the design team, covering categories like Bags, Caps, Socks, Scarves, Gifts and Hard Goods.
Accessories Designer - The Role
- Design and development of accessories such as Bags, Caps, Socks, Scarves, Gifts and Hard Goods.
- Research and experiment with materials, shapes, and hardware to create unique accessory designs that align with the brand’s identity.
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for accessories, ensuring clear communication with production teams.
- Stay updated on new materials, production techniques, and fashion trends, incorporating them into designs.
- Attend fittings, reviews, and production meetings to ensure designs are executed accurately and meet the brand’s quality standards.
- Conduct ongoing research on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands to inform the design process.
- Explore new ideas and innovations in footwear and accessory design to keep the collections fresh and competitive.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, merchandising, and marketing to ensure that designs meet both aesthetic and commercial objectives.
- Maintain clear communication with overseas factories and suppliers, ensuring design specifications are understood and executed properly.
Accessories Designer - The Person
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- Previous experience within accessories design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing accessory designs with a focus on creativity and technical proficiency.
- Understanding of accessory construction, materials, and production processes.
- Experience with accessories such as bags, socks, hats.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Procreate Software.
- Excellent technical drawing and illustration skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.
- Knowledge of current fashion trends, with a passion for accessories design.
