Job Description
Recruiting for a talented Swimwear Designer to join a team of swim & lingerie brand designers. The ideal candidate will be creative thinker with industry experience who can translate must-have, trend led ideas into commercial, technically viable & supportive swimwear.
You will need to have a good technical knowledge with fit experience and an eye for print.
This is about celebrating curves and pushing the brand forward, and you will be someone who shares this passion, and can bring fresh ideas.
Swimwear Designer – Brand – The Job Specification
- Research and interpret global trends, sourcing and developing materials & prints within cost and to brand standards.
- Demonstrate brand and market awareness and be able to translate market requirements.
- Present concepts and share knowledge & ideas.
- Creation and fit development of commercial and technically viable swimwear
- Draft and grade patterns to a specified fit standard
- Produce measurement charts and technical information
- Working with all associated design processes, including pattern work and photoshoots.
- Work with technical teams to develop and finalise garment for production
- Work with suppliers, to source and develop new materials which are fit for purpose
Swimwear Designer – Brand – The Person Specification
- Degree educated degree in Fashion/Contour or similar. Minimum of 3years+ swimwear, lingerie or intimates design experience
- A keen eye for print/colour and detail.
- Pattern cutting skills (Manual or CAD). Grading skills would be advantageous – training will be provided.
- Highly organised person, methodical with ability to manage own workload.
- Be a great communicator, able to present ideas at all levels within the organisation.
- Advanced Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator with strong CAD skills
- Knowledge of a PLM system would be beneficial.
- Applicants must have full Right to Work in the UK.
