The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

I am partnering with a well-recognised sports and leisure brand who are looking to add an additional head into their development team.

You will be based in their modern central Birmingham offices, where you will support the wider development and technical team across their sampling process. You will play an active part in fitting the garments, updating workbooks, working to critical paths, reviewing fabric and trim approvals, as well as supporting across various other adhoc duties.

Product Development Assistant- The Role

  • Allocating tech packs to factories for sampling.
  • Clarifying queries on tech pack to factories in conjunction with Design team.
  • Following up and chasing samples to meet deadlines for selection meeting.
  • Filing away samples and updating rails with new samples suppliers wise.
  • Managing sampling critical path with each supplier.
  • Creating new styles specs and grading across various sizes for various territories.
  • Approving Fit samples and sending comments on Protos and PPS and PS to supplier.
  • Updating critical path with new POs confirmed.
  • Monitoring and managing critical path to ensure critical dates are met on production to achieve delivery dates.
  • Weekly critical path meeting with suppliers to discuss any issues.
  • Coordinating with Operations on packaging and shipping.

Product Development Assistant- The Person

  • A natural ability to multi-task with strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Strong detail orientation with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and ability to deal with multiple data – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding communication and follow-up skills.
  • Eagerness and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by teamwork and collaborative innovation.
  • Self-starter and solution-oriented and able to manage own workload.
