Pattern Technologist

We are recruiting for an experienced Pattern Cutter/Technologist for a respected manufacturer of technical workwear with onsite/and offsite owned production facilities.

Pattern Technologist – Job Scope

• To develop and produce patterns/models as required for sampling and production using Lectra C.A.D system
• Advise suitable technical componentry to enhance cloth performance and control critical areas of the garment
• Assess samples to ascertain if fit and “look” is as required/ expected.
• Attend fit meetings and discuss/agree suitable pattern alterations to achieve the required fit for production.
• Carry out alterations or communicate requirements to off-shore sample unit.
• Work closely with sample makers to prioritise pattern work in order to meet critical path deadlines.
• Create ‘special measure’ patterns according to customers’ request.
• Create and maintain a block library
• Participate in problem solving when issues arise with design & make-up of products.
• Collaborate with technical team, sample machinists, sales & operations teams, onsite factory, near shore and offshore suppliers

Pattern Technologist – The Person:

• Strong knowledge of pattern cutting multiproduct, ideally wovens and minimum of 4years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experienced on Lectra CAD System
• Proficient using MS Office for size charts etc
• Must be able to adhere to strict deadliness, good time management
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be able to work well within a team
• Workwear background/knowledge – desirable
• Experience using Adobe Illustrator – desirable
