We’re looking for an experienced
Garment Technologist to join a fast-paced apparel team, working on a brand new category, for an established RTW brand, specialising in
Menswear across tailoring, outerwear, shirting, trousers, denim and jersey. You’ll own the technical journey from concept through to bulk production , working closely with Designers, Product Developers and global suppliers to deliver exceptional fit, quality, performance and commerciality .
What you’ll be doing
- Lead fittings, manage specs, grading and technical workbooks, and approve bulk production.
- Partner with suppliers and factories to resolve technical, fit and production challenges.
- Drive consistent fit and quality across core product areas.
- Manage product testing, compliance, AQL standards and quality reporting.
- Analyse returns and competitor insights to improve product performance and reduce returns.
- Support supplier compliance, factory visits, sustainability initiatives and new sourcing opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise across multiple brands and product categories when required.
What we’re looking for
- Experience as a Garment Technologist, with strong Menswear expertise.
- Excellent knowledge of fit, grading, garment construction, pattern cutting and manufacturing.
- Confident assessing fit, balance, proportion and silhouette across different fits.
- Strong understanding of trims, components and bulk production challenges.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers, technical labs and cross-functional teams.
- Commercially aware, highly organised and confident working to tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
