We are seeking a talented and creative Licensed Graphic Apparel Designer to join a dynamic team within a leading brand & licensing company, based in their Leicestershire offices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating ideas into visually appealing licence designs, adapting between adults and kidswear, staying up to date with the latest fashion trends, conducting trend research, designing and developing products, and providing integral support with the factories and the wider design team, ensuring that all apparel designs meet the highest quality standards.
Graphic / Fashion Designer - Licensed Apparel - The Role:
- Continual Research: A strong commitment to staying updated on fashion trends, licences and printing techniques is essential.
- Trend and Mood Boards: Proficiency in creating visually compelling trend and mood boards.
- Designing to Brief: Ability to design according to specific buyer briefs and adapt to various style preferences.
- Presentation: Strong presentation and communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Apparel Printing and Garment Construction: In-depth knowledge of apparel printing techniques and garment construction.
- Liaison with Approvals Team: Experience in working closely with approvals teams to ensure design compliance.
- Tech Pack Creation: Expertise in creating comprehensive tech packs.
Graphic / Fashion Designer - Licensed Apparel - The Candidate:
- Previous licensing experience.
- Ideal degree level in fashion, or fashion related graphic/print design.
- Creative and trend driven.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player and able to build relationships.
- Applicants must have full and permanent Right to Work status in the UK.
Software Knowledge Required:
- Adobe Illustrator / Adobe Photoshop.
- Microsoft Excel / Microsoft PowerPoint / Microsoft Word.
