My Client, an established, fuller bust lingerie brand, is seeking an experienced Lingerie Garment Technologist to join the vibrant team in their head office on the south coast.
We are looking for an experienced technologist with a strong background in lingerie, especially fuller bust. You will have a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of fit, comfort, design, and quality, and you will collaborate closely with Design, Buying, and Merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Work with the internal design team to translate concepts into practical, commercial styles and advise on suitable fabrics and trims.
- Lead shape, fabric, and component development with the suppliers.
- Conduct and lead fit sessions, ensuring garments meet required standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical packs and product specifications
- Lead and implement quality control procedures throughout production and analyse returns.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to manage critical path timelines and problem-solve effectively.
- Understand Ethical standards to ensure products adhere to social and ethical standards.
Garment Technologist β Lingerie β Skills and Experience
- Experience in lingerie garment technology and fitting, particularly for fuller bust products, is essential.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, fabrics, grading, and the manufacturing process.
- Proficiency in Lectra/Modaris would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
- Solid experience working with Far East manufacturers is essential.
