I am partnering with a globally recognised organisation who is looking to appoint an Ecommerce Buyer/ Merchandiser into the team. This business is a key player in the branded fashion world!
You will be monitoring stock, maintaining margins, and forecasting sales, and you will also play a pivotal part in driving sales onsite where possible. You will conduct competitor research, action markdowns, create reporting on stock coverage/ OTB/ sales trends, but also work with the wider sales team and stakeholders to provide suggestions on how you can keep pushing sales.
You will hold excellent numerical and analytical skills, combined with great organisation and understanding of commercial awareness. You will also hold experience in buying strategies for digital, merchandising, stock planning, and forecasting and allocation.
They are a small team, so they need people who are proactive, forward thinking and of course a team player.
Ecommerce Buyer & Merchandiser- The Role:
Catalogue Management:
- Create, upload, and maintain accurate product listings, descriptions, pricing, and imagery on the online channel.
- Organize merchandise for content creation, ensuring all digital assets meet quality and global brand standards.
- Collaborate with other teams to source and verify catalogue data.
Digital Merchandising:
- Implement and manage category placement, product sorting, cross-sells, upsells, and featured products.
- Regularly analyse and update category and homepage layouts based on seasonal campaigns, promotions, and product performance.
- Stock Planning and forecasting for the Online channel.
- Markdown and Promotions upload / promo code creation.
- Optimize site navigation, category tree and search filters to enhance product discoverability and UX/UI.
Data and Performance Analysis:
- Monitor product and category performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics and BI).
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports cross checking performance and traffic data.
- Use insights to support data-driven decisions about inventory visibility, conversion rates, and engagement.
- Recommend and execute A/B testing on product displays or merchandising tactics.
Ecommerce Buyer & Merchandiser- The Person:
- 4+ yearsβ experience in buying, merchandising, inventory management, or retail analytics.
- Bachelor\’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience in Digital Buying Strategies, Merchandising, Stock Planning, Forecasting and Allocation.
- Very focused on data analysis but with sensitivity on product and merchandising.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools.
- Microsoft Office and GA4 knowledge is mandatory.
- Excellent organizational and time-management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
