This role is for someone who will work closely with the design team on ladies and girls swimwear collections.
Swimwear Designer β The Role
- Design and develop technically viable, directional swimwear & co-ordinated ranges to fit into customer briefs.
- Research product, shape, fabrics, trims and colour trends in the market,
- Create and develop trend boards
- Create CADs to provide drawings or sketches for product concepts and detailed tech packs.
- Working to a design brief to develop product that meets the agreed price points.
- Develop supplier relationships in conjunction with Supply Chain team. Sourcing exclusive raw materials, prints and trims.
- Progress and monitor selected styles through the design and development process, producing all necessary information including bills of materials, supplier information and colour standards.
Swimwear Designer β The Person
- Previous experience designing beautiful, fit for purpose swimwear or intimate (lingerie, sports) apparel (2 β 3 years).
- Strong design and creative skills, with an ability to translate key trends into commercial ranges
- Highly competent Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop skills.
- To proactively contribute to the development of new ideas and initiatives
- Garment make-up knowledge.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
- A Team player and a confident communicator, with excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to present new concepts, seasonal ranges to internal teams and customers.
- You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Bachelor\’s degree in design or related field or relevant work experience
- Full & Permanent right to work in the UK.
