Are you passionate about accessories, trends, and product design? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic eyewear business that designs and manufactures sunglasses for leading UK high street and international retailers. As the business continues to expand, they are looking for a Design Assistant to join their Richmond Upon Thames-based Design Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the full design and development process while building your career within a fast-paced, creative environment with genuine progression opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the design team from concept through to product development
- Researching catwalk, street style and seasonal trends
- Assisting with trend forecasting and collection development
- Creating technical drawings and development packs using Adobe Illustrator
- Managing samples and helping to organise the sample room
- Liaising with Far East factories throughout the sampling and development process
We're looking for someone with:
- Experience within a fashion accessories, eyewear or high street design team
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Good Excel skills
- A genuine passion for fashion, accessories and trend research
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
