My client, a highly successful Womenswear Contemporary RTW brand, are looking for an enthusiastic, driven Buyer to join their team in London. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Buying and play an integral part in supporting the end-to-end buying process. You will have an excellent eye for product and understanding their customer with the ranges that you build. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop within a dynamic, growing brand.
The ideal candidate will come from a Womenswear own buy background, ideally within the Premium/ Luxury sector.
Womenswear Buyer - The Role:- Conduct detailed analysis of sales performance, customer buying patterns, and product lifecycle data to guide range planning and optimise assortment strategy.
- Analyse competitor activity, pricing strategies, and new product launches to ensure the brand maintains a strong competitive position and responds effectively to market shifts.
- Identify emerging consumer trends through social media, influencers, fashion shows, and industry reports to anticipate future demand and guide product selection.
- Contribute to range planning by combining trend forecasting, sales analysis, and competitive insights to shape collections that meet both brand and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with the Design team during range reviews to refine and develop assortments that reflect the brand identity while ensuring strong commercial performance and the creation of future best sellers.
- Comfortable with data, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) like sell-through, mark-up, and Open to Buy (OTB).
- Must possess a strong, intuitive, and evidence-based understanding of fashion trends.
- Must show a focus on profitability, cost management, and margin negotiation.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the production team to secure favourable terms.
- High level of organisation to manage multiple collections, deadlines, and critical paths.
- A keen eye for style and the ability to spot unique pieces that set the brand apart.
