We are recruiting an experienced Head of HR to provide strategic leadership across a large directorate, supporting a workforce of approximately 2,500–3,000 employees. This role will play a key part in driving people strategy, transformation, and organisational effectiveness, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver HR strategy aligned to business and organisational priorities.
  • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives.
  • Oversee key HR portfolios (e.g., Talent, DEI, Workforce Strategy, Early Careers).
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing data‑driven insight.
  • Lead and support organisational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively across HR functions in a matrix environment.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, governance and employment law.

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role in a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong background in driving organisational change and transformation.
  • Experience working across multiple HR specialisms.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Data‑driven and commercially aware.
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience).
