The Role
As Account (Campaign) Manager, you are the engine room of the account. You take the strategic vision set by senior leads and turn it into reality, owning the day-to-day delivery of complex B2B tech PR campaigns. You are the bridge between senior strategy and ground-level execution, the gatekeeper of quality, and the definitive point of accountability before anything reaches the client. You'll manage resources effectively, hold your team accountable to deadlines, and maintain day-to-day client happiness, ensuring your accounts run at target margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients on daily execution matters, running weekly WIPs and managing expectations.
- Turning account strategies into actionable, month-by-month delivery plans, ensuring milestones are hit.
- Reviewing and approving pitches, press releases and reports before they reach the client.
- Delegating tasks to senior and junior team members, ensuring clear briefs, deadlines and support.
- Drafting top-tier PR content and pitching nationals and trades, setting the standard for the team's output.
- Monitoring time logging and flagging over-servicing early to protect account margins.
- Spotting opportunities to bring in wider specialist teams to elevate campaigns into multi-channel work.
Key Skills
- Ideally 3-5 years' experience in a B2B PR agency environment, with demonstrable expertise managing technology accounts.
- Elite organisational skills, able to manage multiple workstreams, competing deadlines and direct reports.
- Strong knowledge of the media landscape, with a track record securing top-tier coverage and guiding junior team members on pitching.
- Confident, calm and dependable client handling, trusted to lead weekly WIPs and deliver consistently high-quality work.
- Strong commercial awareness, including over-servicing triggers and basic capacity planning.
- A willingness to ask difficult questions, challenge the status quo, and push back where it means a better result.
