People In Power is working with a specialist engineering company that supplies accessories for subsea power cables and umbilicals with a focus on repairing joint systems across all voltage ranges. The Company offers a well-proven and highly reliable factory jointing (splicing) service to medium and HV subsea cable and umbilical manufacturers. The splicing process has applications during long-length cable production, and in the repair of power cables or umbilicals which have been damaged during manufacture. They have a strong and growing presence in the rapidly expanding offshore wind sector and also supply into the offshore oil & gas industry. The Company is anticipating considerable growth over the next few years which means this is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to learn, develop and grow with the business. Job Position Overview – Development and Test Technician The position of Development and Test Technician will report to the Project Engineer and will involve working within the projects and development team to test and develop a range of products for the offshore energy sector.
