Make a real difference working within our People and Governance team as a People and Culture Coordinator, partnering with leaders to support the teams who make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with vision and hearing loss. This is a Temporary Full-Time Opportunity (38 hours per week) reporting directly to the Head of People and Culture and will work onsite at our Blackburn Location.
What we can offer you:
- Salary of up to $99,051+ Super, with 100% salary packaging to maximise your take home pay
- Generous leave entitlements including 2 weeks paid Christmas leave in addition to 4 weeks annual leave, plus extensive personal/carer's leave

You’ll make a difference in this role by:
- Delivering high-quality administrative support to the People & Culture function and ongoing human resources support to NextSense staff
- Partnering with People Managers and P&C Business Partners to provide comprehensive generalist support
- Supporting the entire employee lifecycle including recruitment and selection, induction, professional development and training, employee engagement initiatives and managing exits
- Coordinating the NextSense volunteer program and student placements
- Responding to the transactional needs of the organisation, maintaining employee records and compliance requirements, conducting data analysis and generating reports as required
- Supporting the implementation of a new HRIS.
Skills And Experiences About You:
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role or 2-3 years experience in a Human Resources Administrative role
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and desire to take initiative
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to actively liaise and engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities, meet deadlines and drive tasks to completion
- Exceptional time management skills
- A verified NSW Working With Children Check and criminal record check
Passion, patience, and responsiveness are essential in this position as well as an eagerness to learn, and most importantly, an enjoyment of working with people.
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Human Resources, Commerce, Business or a related field
- Familiarity with recruitment software (e.g. SEEK, LinkedIn Recruiter)
- Prior experience implementing or using a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- General understanding of the Australian industrial landscape, Fair Work Act, enterprise agreement interpretation and workplace health and safety
