People House Recruitment are currently supporting a newly registered children’s residential home near Taunton with the recruitment of 3 permanent full-time staff members. The home recently achieved a GOOD rating in its first Ofsted inspection and provides support within a small group living environment for children and young people. Due to increasing occupancy within the service, the provider is now recruiting:
- Residential Childcare Workers
- Team Leaders
Salary:
- Residential Childcare Worker (unqualified/no experience): £13.00 per hour
- Residential Childcare Worker (qualified or 2+ years experience): £13.50 per hour
- Team Leader: £14.30 per hour
- Sleep-in payment: £65 per sleep
Shift Pattern: Shifts operate on a rolling rota and run from 10:00am until 10:30am the following morning including a sleep-in.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting children and young people within a residential care setting
- Promoting positive outcomes, routines, and emotional wellbeing
- Safeguarding children and maintaining professional boundaries
- Supporting education, appointments, and daily activities
- Working collaboratively within the care team
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements:
- Passion for working with children and young people
- Ability to work within a residential shift pattern including sleep-ins
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience within EBD and/or Learning Disability services preferred
- For Team Leader roles, candidates should hold or be working towards a Level 3 qualification with at least 75% completed
