People House Recruitment are currently recruiting Temporary Children’s Residential Support Workers for a range of children’s homes and supported accommodation services across Exeter and surrounding areas. We are supporting a variety of services including:
- EBD homes
- Learning Disability services
- Supported Accommodation
- Therapeutic residential settings
This is an agency/temp position with ongoing shifts available and the potential for temp-to-permanent opportunities for candidates looking for longer-term placements. We aim to place staff within services best suited to their experience, personality, and working preferences.
Shift Pattern:
- Long day shifts only
- No sleep shifts required
- Flexible shifts available
- Full-time and part-time opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting young people within residential and supported accommodation environments
- Promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes
- Supporting emotional and behavioural needs
- Maintaining safeguarding standards
- Completing daily records and handovers
- Working collaboratively with permanent staff teams
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS with Child Workforce on the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK

Direct children’s residential experience is not essential. Candidates from care, support work, SEN, mental health, education, youth work, psychology, healthcare, and similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
