We are recruiting experienced Residential Support Workers to join specialist residential services supporting young people with mental health needs. These homes support young people stepping down from hospital and secure settings and operate within solo placement environments, with additional support available from Registered Mental Health Nurses.

Shift Pattern:

  • 7:00am – 7:15pm
  • 7:00pm – 7:15am
  • Mixture of waking nights and sleep-ins
  • Structured rotas with blocks of day shifts and night shifts to provide consistency

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or Level 4 qualification relevant to residential childcare / care
  • Previous care or residential support experience
  • Full UK driving licence (work vehicles available)
  • Comfortable supporting young people with emotional, behavioural, or mental health needs

Experience within complex behaviours, trauma-informed practice, or mental health environments would be beneficial but is not essential.

Duties Include:

  • Supporting young people within therapeutic residential settings
  • Promoting wellbeing, safety, and positive outcomes
  • Supporting routines, appointments, and independence
  • Building positive professional relationships
  • Completing records and safeguarding documentation
  • Working alongside wider professional teams
