People House Recruitment are currently recruiting Temporary Children’s Residential Support Workers for a range of children’s homes and supported accommodation services across Exeter and surrounding areas. We are supporting a variety of services including:
- EBD homes
- Learning Disability services
- Supported Accommodation
- Therapeutic residential settings
This is an agency/temp position with ongoing shifts available and the potential for temp-to-permanent opportunities for candidates looking for longer-term placements. We aim to place staff within services best suited to their experience, personality, and working preferences.
Shift Pattern:
- Long day shifts only
- No sleep shifts required
- Flexible shifts available
- Full-time and part-time opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting young people within residential and supported accommodation environments
- Promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes
- Supporting emotional and behavioural needs
- Maintaining safeguarding standards
- Completing daily records and handovers
- Working collaboratively with permanent staff teams
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS with Child Workforce on the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
- Reliable, professional, and resilient approach
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work within challenging but rewarding environments
- Direct children’s residential experience is not essential. Candidates from care, support work, SEN, mental health, education, youth work, psychology, healthcare, and similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
