Are you looking to shift from a pure delivery role into one that offers greater ownership, more strategic input, and the opportunity to shape what actually gets built, not just how it gets delivered? Are you seeking a better work-life balance, with more predictable hours, hybrid working (3 days in the office), less firefighting, and fewer last-minute crises? We are supporting a major infrastructure end client that is investing billions of pounds across its asset base.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will initially support the development and subsequent delivery of a £400m project of strategic importance, with full accountability for approximately half of this investment. The project is currently at RIBA Stage 2, with construction scheduled to commence in 2028.
There are many notable benefits to working client-side, including:
- Greater decision making authority and a more strategic view point
- The ability to influence long term asset strategy and align projects with wider business objectives
- Broader stakeholder engagement, helping to develop a more rounded leadership skill set beyond pure construction
- Exposure to programme-level thinking, including phased delivery in live operational environments; strong preparation for future programme or portfolio leadership roles
- A shift in commercial focus towards value optimisation and whole life costing
- Enhanced positioning for future senior leadership opportunities
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the technical, commercial, and financial management of the project, working across the full lifecycle; from concept design and procurement through to construction, delivery, and handover.
