An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global development management consultancy as Construction Delivery Lead on a major private residential scheme in Stevenage. Acting in a client-side capacity, you will take full responsibility for the delivery, commissioning and handover of a 300-unit residential development, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
- Lead the construction delivery of a large-scale residential scheme from site mobilisation through to completion and handover.
- Act as the primary client-side interface with the principal contractor and wider consultant team.
- Manage performance across programme, cost, quality, safety and risk.
- Liaise with local authority and JV boards, providing clear reporting and assurance.
- Drive resolution of complex delivery issues and maintain momentum on a fast-paced project.
About You
- Proven experience in a client-side or consultancy role, ideally at Project Director / Senior Project Manager level.
- Strong background in main contracting, with a deep understanding of on-site delivery.
- Demonstrable experience managing principal contractors on major residential or mixed-use schemes.
- Comfortable operating in a local authority or JV environment, engaging with senior boards and stakeholders.
- Able to hit the ground running and lead a live project with confidence and authority.
