An excellent job opportunity for an MEP Project Lead to work for a leading tier one main contractor. This is to work on a signature project in Central London. The Project Lead – Building Services will be responsible for maintaining client relationships, managing, and leading the Construction onsite M&E team, managing subcontractors, design consultants, and close liaison with commercial Managers. The role includes managing all stages of the project including; Pre Construction activities, design, installation, and completion management, post completion obligations ensuring the successful timely handover and full acceptance of all M & E systems by the Client, local authorities and consultants. What will you be doing? Provide strong leadership using motivational and proactive management, setting example to project team, client, consultants and subcontractors. Ensure company culture and core values are promoted and demonstrated to staff, client, consultants, and subcontractors. Produce M & E subcontractor tender strategy for review and approval by executive management team. Prepare M & E project specific scope of works for tendering ensure no scope gaps, assist commercial team with M & E tendering, bid analysis and produce tender report to company executive management team. Review design documentation to ensure compliance with the Clients Employers Requirements, and sustainability obligations. Implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) Management of obtaining all necessary approvals before commencement onsite from client and design team such as; installation drawings, technical submissions, mock ups, benchmarks, samples, functional design descriptions, emergency procedures. Other key skill and experience are: Strong people manager with leadership skills Ability to manage multi-discipline MEP subcontractors Experience managing MEP works packages on projects above £30m in value Knowledge of design principles and experience in project delivery Commercial and financial understanding – ability to contribute to value engineering as part of the design process CM experience would be preferable Professional memberships; CIOB, RICS, CIBSE or similar affiliation.
