A leading Tier One Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical systems on a high-profile commercial project in Central London. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of £90,000 - £100,000, with the opportunity to work on one of the capital’s most ambitious developments.
The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of mechanical packages, ensuring works are completed to the highest quality, on time, and within budget. Reporting to the MEP Project Lead, the Mechanical Package Manager will coordinate subcontractors, oversee installation progress, and liaise with design teams and consultants to resolve technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all mechanical works on-site from pre-construction through to handover
- Coordinate subcontractors and monitor progress against programme
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards
- Review and manage mechanical design, identifying any issues or changes
- Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and internal teams
- Drive snagging and commissioning processes
- Report progress and risks to senior management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Package Manager on commercial or mixed-use schemes, ideally £50M+ in value
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services
- Experience working for a main contractor or major subcontractor
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead and drive progress on-site
