Overview
In this role you lead the mechanical package on a landmark Central London residential/mixed-use project, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover. You work within a high-performing project team to coordinate design, procure, manage subcontractors, and maintain programme, quality, and commercial targets. You will drive safety, compliance, and handover readiness while shaping delivery performance on a high-value scheme. This is an opportunity to influence flagship construction with a focus on robust, hands-on leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all mechanical elements of the project
- Manage subcontractors to deliver safe, timely, high-quality works
- Drive programme performance against milestones
- Oversee technical submissions, RFIs, and design development with consultants
- Ensure health & safety and building regulation compliance
- Support commercial teams with cost control, valuations, and change management
- Manage commissioning activities and successful project handover
- Oversee design coordination, procurement, and QA as part of the project team
Key requirements
- Proven Mechanical Lead or Senior Mechanical Project Manager
- Experience delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments for a main contractor or leading M&E contractor
- Strong track record of managing high-value mechanical packages
- Excellent technical knowledge of building services systems
- Experience on complex builds in Central London
- Ability to lead teams and build stakeholder relationships
